Remote control for a 3-phase dust extractor

Connect a compatible three-phase dust extractor to Aerswitch P3 for wireless remote control. Press ON or OFF at your workstation instead of walking over to the extractor.

A dust collector remote switch gives you manual control; it does not detect a tool starting automatically. Check your extractor rating, plug configuration and restart behaviour before ordering.

Wireless tool control for a three-phase extractor

Aerswitch P3 controls the three-phase dust extractor. A ToolSense sensor on a suitable single-phase tool sends the wireless start signal.

The ToolSense shown here is for the single-phase tool only; it does not power or switch the three-phase extractor. Confirm the compatible P3 receiving arrangement with Aerguard before ordering.

Three-phase dust extractor controlled by Aerswitch P3, with a manual remote and single-phase ToolSense at a planer.

Products needed: Aerswitch P3 with ToolSense-compatible receiving hardware + ToolSense, rated for the connected single-phase tool and outlet.

Tools, extractor, hoses and blast gates are not included.

Optional wired setup: single-phase tool, three-phase extractor

Aerswitch P3 switches the three-phase extractor. Aersync P1 detects the single-phase tool.

P1 is a single-phase controller and does not power or switch the three-phase motor. It sends a control signal through the cable to P3.

This optional setup requires a compatible P3 external control input and control cable. Contact Aerguard to confirm your equipment before ordering.

Wired setup: single-phase Aersync P1 detects the tool; Aerswitch P3 switches the three-phase extractor. P1 does not power the three-phase motor.

Three-phase extractor controller: Aerswitch P3 with the required external control input.

Single-phase tool detection only: Aersync P1, linked to P3 by a compatible M12 8-pin control cable.

Future setup: multiple wireless tools

Future setup — three-phase ToolSense planned for 2027.

This illustrated example combines single-phase ToolSense sensors with a future three-phase ToolSense sensor to trigger a shared extractor through a compatible Aerswitch P3 arrangement.

The three-phase sensor is not available as part of a complete setup today. For currently available wireless activation, use suitable single-phase ToolSense sensors with the required compatible receiving hardware.

Illustrated future hardware: Aerswitch P3 with compatible receiving hardware + two single-phase ToolSense sensors + one planned three-phase ToolSense sensor.

This is a future connection example, not a currently available complete kit.

Upcoming automatic three-phase control: Aersync P3

Aersync P3 is coming soon and is not available to order.

The illustrated automatic-control example connects a compatible tool and three-phase dust extractor to Aersync P3. Tool detection starts extraction, with a selected run-on time after the tool stops.

Three-phase dust extraction control questions

How can I remotely switch a three-phase dust extractor?

A compatible Aerswitch P3 connects between the supply and extractor and provides wireless ON/OFF control. Check your extractor rating, plug configuration and restart behaviour before ordering.

Can a single-phase tool start a three-phase extractor?

Yes, with a compatible control arrangement. Aerswitch P3 switches the three-phase extractor. In the wired example, Aersync P1 detects the single-phase tool only and sends a control signal to P3; P1 is not a three-phase controller. The correct control cable and P3 external control input are required. Contact Aerguard to confirm your setup.

Is remote control the same as automatic tool detection?

No. A remote starts extraction when you press its button. ToolSense detects a compatible connected tool running and sends a wireless activation signal.

Does the 5-pin option provide a neutral connection?

The Aerswitch P3 5-pin socket option provides plug compatibility, with the neutral terminal not connected internally. Contact Aerguard before ordering if your equipment needs neutral.

Does this setup operate blast gates automatically?

These control setups switch extraction. They do not automatically operate blast gates; airflow still needs to be routed to the active tool.

What should I check before ordering?

Check the extractor nameplate, supply, plug arrangement, connected tool rating and restart behaviour. Extractors with an NVR or motor starter need a model-specific compatibility assessment. Contact Aerguard before ordering; electrical modifications require a licensed electrician.
